Susie Faber and Kari Miltenberger have lived without hair and understand why their company called
Stylish Noggins was desperately needed.
Kari's autoimmune system changed over a decade ago, and she developed a condition called "Alopecia", which prevents the hair follicles from reproducing. Susie has had "Alopecia" since childhood and in 2004 was diagnosed with breast cancer. During chemotherapy, Susie's eyebrows and eyelashes started to fall out and will not regrow.
Kari learned how to tie scarves of bright colors, with twists and turns around caps she wore. As a professional woman working in the business world, this would become her hair, and she could change it to suit her needs or outfits.
Susie experimented with wigs that were secured using double-sided tape. Sometimes the tape would tear her skin as she took the wig off. Every time she wore the wig, it would scratch and leave red blotches on her head.
Kari and Susie were destined to meet, and through mutual acquaintances from a breast cancer seminar, they discovered a passion to help others to feel as good as they feel.
Their philosophy is to make soft, comfortable, Stylish caps and hats that can be worn for any time, whether they be with jeans, for business, or that special occasion.
Kari and Susie wear their creations daily, with confidence and style. They hope you will too.
Susie has actually had people tell her, "Your hair looks so nice." while wearing her cap and scarf, in the grocery store.
As you will see on the Catalog pages, these unique hats and caps can be adorned with scarves, and broaches, or slides to enhance your look.
